Parks On-Line & Call Center Reservations System FAQs

What am I able to reserve?
Individual campsites at Caspers Wilderness and O'Neill Regional Parks and group picnic areas at most County Regional Parks.
How do I make a reservation?
Go to www.ocparks.com 24 hours a day/seven days a week and follow the prompts or call (800) 600-1600 to place a reservation through our Call Center. The Call Center is available between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (Pacific Time) Monday through Sunday between March 15 and October 31 and between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (Pacific Time) Monday through Friday (excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day) the remainder of the year.

Customers may pay with either a credit or debit card. Full payment is required at the time the reservation is made. Reservations will be confirmed by e-mail or postcard.
Can I make a reservation in person?
Yes. You can come to any of the offices at the listed parks and make your reservation during regular office hours.

  • Note: Reservations cannot be made on-line or through the Call Center within 48 hours of your arrival date; you must make them at the park office.
  • How far In advance can I make a reservation?
    Reservations can be made 12 months in advance with the booking window opening on the 1st of each month. For example, reservations for the entire month of June 2012 open on June 1, 2011.
    What are the fees?
    Individual campsites are $20 per night day per site for up to eight people and one vehicle, and $15 per night per site for seniors 60 plus or disabled individuals. Extra vehicles are $5 per night.

    Fees for group picnic areas are based on the capacity of the area; they range from $100 to $500.
    What if I need to cancel or change my reservation?
    Whether you made your reservation on-line, through the Call Center or at a park office, you can only cancel or change it through the Call Center or park office; you cannot do so on-line.

    If you paid with a credit or debit card, you will receive a refund back to your card. If you paid with a check or cash, you will receive a refund by check.
    Are there any cancellation penalties?

  • Reservations for individual campsites cancelled up to 2:00 p.m. on the arrival date of the reservation are eligible for full refunds. Reservations cancelled after 2:00 p.m. on the arrival date of the reservation are subject to the loss of one night's Regular or Senior/Disabled fee.

  • Reservations for group picnic areas cancelled 7 days or more prior to the date of the reservation are eligible for full refunds less a $25.00 cancellation fee. Reservations cancelled less than 7 days prior to the date of the reservation are subject to loss of the entire fee.
