4th Annual OC Parks Sports Day

Event Welcomes Iconic Athletes to Craig Regional Park

On Saturday, July 20, OC Parks is pleased to present the fourth annual OC Parks Sports Day at Craig Regional Park in Fullerton. The event welcomes renowned athletes and teams from different types of sports for an action packed day of activities in the outdoors.

Children and teens will have the opportunity to learn skills from athletes and coaches in soccer, baseball, football, racquetball and softball at Sports Day.  Los Angeles Angels® of Anaheim pitcher, Ernesto Frieri, will be on-site coaching kids in the techniques of the sport. Along with Frieri, top industry icons and college and high school athletic teams will staff various sports stations including the Hope International University Softball and Soccer Teams.

Orange County 4th District Supervisor, Shawn Nelson, will join the event to coach the football activity station and present awards to some of the players at the end of the day.

Sports Day is free to the public from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Parking is also free for this special event. For non-sports enthusiasts, additional activities will also be available including kids’ craft stations and bounce houses. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided for all attendees to enjoy.

Special Instructions: Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment. Equipment will also be available courtesy of OC Parks. Activities best suited for ages 6 to17, additional activities and crafts provided for children under 6.
