After the sun sets, the night sky fills with small but mighty flying bats. Enjoy an evening discovering how important bats are to our ecosystems and how they help us stay free of bug bites!

The program begins with an informal introduction to bats at your own leisure. We will then break into groups and walk around the park to search for these nighttime flyers as they race around catching their dinner. Bat detectors will help to identify and hear their high frequency calls.

Dress warmly in layers as we stroll about a half mile around the lake. This program is free but parking is $3 per car.
