Sept 14th LIMESTONE WHITING GENERAL VOLUNTEER MEETING | | A volunteer meets Ranger Vicky at the General Volunteer Meeting |
We appreciate those volunteers who attended the Sept 14th LIMESTONE WHITING GENERAL VOLUNTEER MEETING. We discussed the New Adopt-A-Trail Program, Rainy Season Prep work and training as well as other new opportunities for volunteers to assist with giving other needed Programs to the public. The ADOPT-A-TRAIL Program list is below.
 | | Ranger Vicky discusses the Adopt-A-Trail Program during the Sept 14th Limestone Whiting General Volunteer Meeting | ADOPT-A-TRAIL Meeting One and Two will go over trail needs at Limestone-Whiting Wildeness Park. We will do a walk through of the trail and assist with some trail work. Once you attend an Adopt-A-Trail Meeting, you can start the Adoption. Adoption consists of maintaining and/or patroling the trail at least 3-5 hours per month (or as needed). The Limstone-Whiting Trail Activity Report would need to be submitted after each patrol. Reports can be submitted to to the Ranger Office after 24 hours of the patrol (dropped off as a hard copy, emailed to limestonewhiting@ocparks.com or faxed to (949) 589-4865.
If you are interested in being part of the Limestone Whiting ADOPT-A-TRAIL PROGRAM to help maintain a specific trail, please contact angeline.santiago@RDMD.ocgov.com with your FIRST NAME, LAST NAME and TRAIL NAME.
.JPG) | | Ranger Raul discusses volunteer opportunities at Limestone Whiting with a General Volunteer | Rainy Season Prep: We need your help to knock down berms to prepare Limestone-Whiting for the rainy season. Prep work will occur after the Adopt-A-Trail Meetings starting at 10am. We are meeting at Mustard Road and Cattle Pond (where the picnic tables are) we will have shovels and gloves. Please bring own gloves if you want and water, sun screen protection, hat, snacks, ect.
UPCOMING MEETINGS: Adopt-A-Park General Volunteers are welcome. If you are not a General Volunteer, please register as a One Time Volunteer on www.OCParksForms.Com and print out the Guidelines and Provisions.
