Ranger Reserves
Qualifications
You must be 18 years old and a high school graduate. You also must be in good standing in the community, provide proof of U.S. residency and pass a background investigation. Other qualifications include:
- Ability to preform outstanding customer service;
- Desire and ability to learn concepts of natural and cultural history;
- Provide public service in a variety of situations;
- Learn and apply management techniques to facilities, natural and cultural resources;
- Write clear and concise reports, memos and correspondences;
- Volunteer a minimum of 18 hours of service per month;
- Possess a valid California Driver's License, Class C or higher, before the date of appointment.
Education/Experience
Any combination of education or experience that demonstrates possession of the above abilities and qualifications.
License/Certification
The department will provide training for the required Basic Life Support Certificate.
