The Clark Park Paleontology-Interpretive Center attracted hundreds of visitors during an open house to showcase new collections added to refurbished exhibits of ancient bison, mammoths, mastodons and the like in 2003. And it has proven to be of great importance to geologic and paleontology fields.
The County recently replaced the copper roofing panels on the center to correct weathering and leakage problems. These improvements will preserve the County’s fossil records and collection housed at one of the more significant fossil museums in southern California for the foreseeable future.
Resurfaced walkways.
In addition, nearly 4,000 square feet of fractured and tilted concrete walkway was repaired at Clark Regional Park in Buena Park earlier this year. The walkway is an important park amenity weaving past the park’s lake to the Paleontology-Interpretive Center.
