The annual tradition features train rides, visits with Santa and other holiday-themed events every weekend through Christmas.

Santa Claus is coming once again to celebrate the season with Irvine Park Railroad’s 14th annual Christmas Train.
Children and adults can ride the train, strung with twinkle lights, through historic Irvine Regional Park to meet with Santa Claus. The train will depart from the brightly lit station and drop visitors off at Santa’s Village.
Children can tell Santa their Christmas wishes or print and fill out a wish list to share with Santa. For a Christmas wish list that children can print, click here.
Visitors may take their own pictures with Santa or you may purchase a picture taken by Irvine Park Railroad for $10. Each 5” x 7” photo will be presented with an Irvine Park Railroad border and available for pickup shortly after being taken.
After visiting with Santa, visitors again board the train for a ride through the colorful Christmas lights and decorations, including the magical “Tunnel of Lights,” on their way back to the station.
Refreshments including coffee, hot chocolate, freshly- popped popcorn and cookies are available at the Elf House Snack Bar at Santa’s Village. A full kitchen menu is also available at the Train Station.
When visiting the Christmas Train, remember to dress warm, bring your camera and arrive early to avoid crowds.
Santa will visit Irvine Park Railroad Nov. 27-29, Dec. 4-6 and Dec. 11-23. Irvine Park Railroad’s Christmas Train is open from 5 through 8 p.m.
The cost to ride the Christmas Train is $8 per person. Children younger than 24 months ride free.
Parking for Irvine Regional Park is $3 per vehicle on weekdays and $5 per vehicle on weekends. Parking for the Christmas Train is free after 5 p.m.
