January 20, 2017  Armories Open All Weekend During StormWith coordination and support from the California Military Department and in conjunction with the County Office of Emergency Services and the Governor's Office of Emergency Services, the Orange County Cold Weather Armory Emergency Shelters (armories) located at both Santa Ana and Fullerton will operate with extended hours to provide shelter and protection to the homeless community during the upcoming storm.
January 18, 2017  Health Care Agency Reports Rapid Increase in Flu ActivityThe Health Care Agency reports a rapid increase of flu activity in Orange County over the past few weeks and reminds residents that it's not too late to vaccinate. More than 900 confirmed influenza cases have been reported by local medical providers to date this season. Nine adults between the ages of 18-64 and two children under 18 years of age have developed severe infection requiring a visit to intensive care.
January 17, 2017  Pastel Artworks Depicting Scenes from Nature on Display at John Wayne AirportFrom January 17, 2017 – February 16, 2017, a series of pastel artworks by Laguna Niguel resident Ruth Kurisu will be on display at John Wayne Airport (JWA) as part of JWA's Community Focus Space Program. These pastels can be viewed on the Departure (upper) Level near security screening areas in Terminals A, B and C, and on the Arrival (lower) Level adjacent to Baggage Carousels 1 and 4.
